Some individuals have an unconditional love for their pets, whether it’s for better or for worse. Meanwhile, others adopt these animals purely for entertainment when they are still strong and helpful, only to heartlessly abandon them when they grow old and weak. These callous individuals are truly unbelievable, but unfortunately, they still exist everywhere in this world.
This is a heartwarming story about a German shepherd who was once part of a family but was abandoned when he became old and paralyzed. He was left alone in their old house with countless health issues until volunteers from the Qua La Zampa Association found him near Bari, Italy. The kind-hearted volunteers named him “Heart” and formed a group called “The Remote Mothers” to take turns taking care of him. Despite his health problems, Heart was a true warrior and managed to move around on his own. In the last days of his life, he found true love and happiness with the group. However, his time with them was short-lived as he could only stay for one year.
Gianina decided to accompany Qua La Zampa on his final journey to the sea as his time was coming to an end. The experience was absolutely fantastic and unforgettable.
G͏i͏a͏n͏n͏a͏ captured the serene beauty of the sea in her writing. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks and the wind gently caressing her ears made her feel relaxed. She almost fell asleep, forgetting about the pain of being abandoned by those who loved her little, the soreness she was starting to feel, and not being able to run with the puppy chasing his stone.
The rescue dog named Husky, affectionately called Heart, passed away peacefully shortly after receiving much love and care. It was a sad moment, but at least he went to a better world where he would never be neglected again.
